- Gmail setup and Automatic Email Forwarding
To import travel confirmations, follow Gmail forwarding setup or forward an individual email. For food planning, generate meal ideas, choose recipes, and manage food preferences and attendance. You can also export Navigator to PDF.
For daily travel, use Navigator and weather. To change the order of destinations, see Rearrange daily plans. You can also refine a plan with AI, check creation access and subscription, add a trip cover and reuse saved friends.
Bucket lists belong to your account independently of trips. Sharing a trip does not share your lists, drafts or completion notes.
After or during your travels, review a trip or campground, open Trip Recap, and approve AI-suggested travel preferences. Learn how to manage My Travel Memory, override it during planning, and keep personal feedback private.
You can also set your default currency before entering travel costs, choose accommodation providers, or find accommodation for a stay.
Set your default currency
- Open Profile from your account navigation.
- Choose Default currency, then select Save currency.
- Check the currency when adding a new activity, reservation or flight. You can change it for each entry.
The default belongs to you, including when you add entries to a shared trip. Changing it does not change existing amounts or currencies, convert money, or change billing prices. Imported records keep their source currency; confirm it during review when the source does not specify one.
Existing accounts initially use USD. New accounts use the browser's regional language setting when it identifies a supported currency, otherwise USD. Later sign-ins do not overwrite your saved choice.
Understand the parts of a trip
| Record | What it is | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Trip | The overall journey and date range | Maine coast, October 11โ17, 2026 |
| Itinerary stop | A place and requested number of days | Bar Harbor, 3 days |
| Trip day | One calendar day with its own details | October 13, coastal walk |
| Overnight plan | Where you intend to sleep, from arrival to departure | Campground, October 12โ15: 3 nights |
| Reservation | A booking record | Campground confirmation ABC123 |
| Activity | Something to do, with or without an assigned day | Kayaking, 120 minutes |
| Task | Something someone needs to arrange | Confirm campground arrival instructions |
| Flight booking | One booking with one or more flight segments and travelers | JFK to LHR to FCO with a connection |
| Trip rental car | Pickup, return and driver details, optionally linked to a reservation | One-way rental from Boston to Portland |
| Trip vehicle assignment | A personal vehicle and its member/towing assignments | A truck towing a travel trailer |
| Trip meal | A day's meal choice with optional recipe copies | Dinner for six with scaled ingredients |
| Shopping item | A generated meal requirement or manual shared item | Rice for two dinners, marked purchased |
Adding an itinerary stop does not book a stay or create activities. Use Apply itinerary to assign new stops to days. Record overnight plans and reservations separately.

Review and verification
Documentation reviewed October 28, 2026. This pass checked guide coverage, Help registration and links, and compared Gmail forwarding, meal ideas, recipe building, food preferences and memory, shopping review, Navigator PDF export and trip badges with the current local application views and implementation documentation. Gmail setup was also checked against Google's linked instructions. Availability on a deployed site depends on its version and configuration; this review does not verify production deployment, real Gmail delivery or live AI services.
AI analysis and imports, activity discovery, maps, campground discovery, weather, email delivery and MCP depend on site configuration and external services. See each guide for review steps and limitations. Personal recipes, friends, bucket lists and vehicles belong to your account; their trip-facing copies or assignments follow the sharing rules described in those guides.
If a page reports that someone changed a record, reload its current version, compare your intended changes, and review again before saving. Temporary AI import reviews can expire or disappear when the application restarts.
This folder contains user instructions. Architecture, API contracts, provider setup, and deployment instructions remain in the separate docs folder.
