Manage My Bucket Lists
Your bucket lists are private to your account. Sharing a trip does not share your lists, drafts or completion notes. Creating a list does not use a trip-creation allowance.
Create and use a list
- Open My Bucket Lists in the left menu and choose Add a bucket list.
- Create manually, choose a published template, or describe a goal for AI suggestions.
- Add or review items and their requirements. Visit, Camp overnight, Fish, Traverse and Custom describe different accomplishments.
- Use Edit / update progress to mark an item Planned or Completed. Record an old visit with a historical date and private notes, or leave the date blank if unknown.
- Use Up/Down buttons to change the order. Clear search and status filters before reordering the complete list.
Progress counts completed items against the current item total. Empty lists are not complete. Reopening a completed item, or changing its requirement, warns that the active completion date and notes will be cleared. Completion photos and a separate accomplishment-history ledger are not available.
Templates and AI review
Preview a template's full roster, scope, completion policy and verification date before copying. Your copy is independent: your edits do not change the template, and later catalog changes do not rewrite your copy. Only published templates are available. State-park variants and US Dark Sky Parks are not currently ready for publication.
AI generation saves a draft, not live items. Review names, requirements, sources and uncertainty; edit or remove proposals; then explicitly save the selected items. Suggestions are not guaranteed official or complete. For an existing list, choose Suggest additions with AI; saving retains existing completion evidence.
Drafts expire after 30 days. Discarding a draft leaves live lists unchanged. Failed generation preserves your goal for an explicit retry; refreshing status does not generate again. If the target list changes while you review, reload and review before saving.
An external AI assistant needs separately granted bucketlists.read and bucketlists.write permissions. Trip permissions alone do not grant list access. Ask it to stage suggestions for your review and apply only the items you approve. Availability depends on your connection and the site's configuration; no live connection is verified by this guide.
Trip references, archive and deletion
Use Trip links to reference existing trips you can currently access. Linking does not change an itinerary, book anything or complete an item. After access is revoked, private trip details are unavailable. Deleting a trip preserves your list and completion evidence; removing a list or reference does not delete a trip.
Archive hides a list from the active view and pauses editing. Switch to archived lists and restore it to resume. Permanent deletion asks you to confirm the affected list and its items. List sharing is not available.
If a save cannot be confirmed, keep the editor open and retry the same submission. If a conflict appears, reload and review current data before saving again.
